India expects US to honour HIB commitment

India has submitted a proposal to the WTO seeking an agreement on trade facilitation in services.



Citing examples of the US, UK, Australia and New Zealand tightening visa regime Commerce Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said countries are now very clearly raising protectionist walls as regards service trade.

About the executive order of US President Donald Trump on H1B visas, she said America has committed a certain number of H1B visas to India and India definitely wants America to honour that commitment.
