Ryan International School murder: 2 top officials held, acting principal detained
There's been a flurry of developments related to the gruesome school student murder in Gurugram. Two top officials of the Ryan International chain were arrested on Monday while the suspended Acting Principal was also detained for questioning by the police.
The Supreme court on Monday issued notices to the Centre, the Haryana government and CBSE with regard to the case of murdered 7- year old Ryan International student Pradyuman. The notice has to be replied to in 3 weeks.
Senior police officers surveyed the scene of the crime. ADG Akeel said that the investigation was proceeding in the proper direction and none of the guilty would be spared.
The SHO of Sadar Police Station on Sohna Road has been suspended in connection with the baton-charge on protesting parents and journalists outside the
Ryan International School on Sunday. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has asserted that there will be no leniency and the school management will be held accountable.
Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar while condemning the murder said that steps need to be arrived at to ensure that such ghastly incidents do not recur. Haryana CM ML Khattar met with the parents of the murdered child and assured them that the case would be handed to the CBI, if necessary. An SIT team is headed to Mumbai to interrogate school CEO Ryan Pinto and director Albert Pinto. Ryan Pinto and his parents have filed an anticipatory bail plea in Bombay High Court. All Ryan group schools in Gurgaon have been ordered to remain shut till Tuesday.
